There's 3 type of friends we have

  1. The friends we’ve known since forever, the ones you’d call up to babysit your kids in an emergency, the ones at your wedding

  2. The “builder” friends. You catch them at events, and catch up over coffee maybe once or twice a year.

  3. The friends who happen to be “builders”. The “work husband / wives”. The ones that make this tough and lonely journey of building pretty damn fun, actually.

And the 3rd type of friends - are the rarest to come by.

But it’s literally impossible to make actual friends at f*cking networking events, keynotes, masterminds etc…

"I only have a couple of friends like this in my life and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without them" -James

We started Build ‘n Chill to have a space to have these genuine connections.

There’s no big plan / business model for this. We just want to break even, and we’re even ok with losing our own money on this.

This is the stuff we’d do if we won the lottery tomorrow.

What is this?

A 4 days and 3 nights (Jan 16- 19) getaway just 2 hours from Vancouver, a modern lakefront house where 12 builders of all kinds come together to build'n chill

What are we gonna do?

70% of the time will be free time, meaning you can literally do whatever you want, with anyone.

But we’ll also have structured activities like:

Intro your friend - get to know someone else’s story, and brag / present them to the group (since we’re too humble ourselves)

Hot ones Q&A - Eat hot wings and ask each other burning questions

The rest will be a surprise. Come and find out

What we're all about

Principles:

  1. Just have fun

  2. Hugs only, screw handshakes

  3. See one, do one, teach one

  4. Rising tide lifts all boats

  5. Talk about someone like they’re in the room

  6. Don’t fanboy the big timers, don’t snub the startups
